24 Hour Access Membership

Currently offered at the Witham Family YMCA only

Zero Tolerance

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis has adopted a Zero Tolerance Policy in relation to 24-Hour access privileges. Violations of the following agreements and in addition all YMCA policies and agreements may result in losing their 24-hour access and possible termination of Y membership without a refund. These policies are in place for everyone’s safety, security and enjoyment of the YMCA at all hours of the day. All members are asked to adhere to the Y core values of honesty, respect, caring, and responsibility.

Usage

As a member with 24-hour access, you may use the Witham Family YMCA Wellness Center at any time. You will need to download the Rhombus app and use your mobile device to access the center from the main door. During our normal business hours, the 24-Hour access will not be active, and you must use the regular check in process to enter the building. The building will be staffed during advertised hours of operation. Please refer to the Y’s website for current staffed business hours and special holiday hours.

24-Hour access at the Witham Family YMCA enhances your membership to the facility. To gain 24-Hour access you may purchase our 24-Hour access add-on to your membership that includes availability to the app. You will be drafted monthly in addition to your regular membership fees. You have the right to end your 24-hour access at any time prior to your next draft. Additional access for other family members included on your YMCA membership can be purchased for each individual member.

All members must scan their individual access app when entering the YMCA. Your access app is to be used only for your own personal entrance into the facility outside of staffed hours of operation. Members with 24-hour access cannot grant access to other individuals. Granting access to another individual will result in the member losing 24-hour access and possible termination of Y membership without a refund. Your access app is non-transferable. There will be zero tolerance for letting someone else use your access app or letting someone come in with you that doesn’t have an access app.

Members will need to exit the facility at the close of the regular business hours and scan to re-enter for the 24-hour access. YMCA staff need to ensure all users are eligible.

Age Requirements

24-Hour access will only be granted to those who are ages 18 and older. (no dependents, infants in a car seat, or anyone under 18 years old) Members who violate this policy will lose their 24-hour access and possible termination of Y membership without refund.

Safety and Security

The YMCA has installed a 24-hour video recording system for security purposes. Video surveillance will be active and reviewed regularly as well as archived for review. Please note that this system will not protect you from harm while in or on the building premises and will not alert anyone if help is needed. Please use caution when entering and leaving the building. It is highly recommended that you bring your own cell phone when you use the YMCA after hours. The Y’s address and emergency phone numbers are posted for easy access. Emergency pull buttons will not be active after hours. In the event of an emergency, immediately dial 911, Fire and Police Departments will be able to access the building during non-business hours.

It is highly recommended that you exercise with a partner when using our facility outside of staffed hours. If there is a loss of power in the building, please exit the building immediately. If there are any alarms that sound, please exit the building immediately.

Call 911 for any emergency.  An emergency telephone, first aid kit and AED are located in the facility, look for signage.

Guest Policy

Guests are only allowed in the building during regular business hours when a YMCA Staff member is on duty. No guests are allowed outside the current staffed business hours. Allowing a guest (including family members) to utilize the 24-Hour access is a violation of this policy and may result in the member losing 24-hour access and possible termination of Y membership without a refund.

All other areas are completely off-limits including front desk, locker rooms, swimming pools, gyms, conference rooms, administration areas, child development/early learning rooms, play & learn rooms and adjoining hallways.
