Teen Life Skills Workshop
Attention Teens!
Join us for an exciting new series of workshops created specifically for you. The Teen Life Skills Workshop Series, offered at the Indianapolis Art Center Woodshop, will equip you with essential skills to excel in various aspects of your life.
Constructing Confidence
“Constructing Confidence” is a hands-on workshop where teens learn the fundamentals of woodworking, tool safety, and DIY craftsmanship. Participants will explore safe tool use, basic construction techniques, and the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands. Through guided instruction and practical projects, teens will strengthen problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, and self-reliance while building confidence in a workshop environment.
Led by instructors experienced in teaching young people about tools and woodworking, participants will complete and take home a project that showcases their newly developed skills.
All workshop materials are included. Workshops are free and open to all teens; YMCA membership is not required. Sessions take place at the Indianapolis Art Center Woodshop from 4:30–6:30 PM. Registration is required, and space is limited!
