The AHA’s Basic Life Support Provider Course reflects science and education from the 2020 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

CPR Skills Check-Off Session
Skills Check Off Session
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Students must successfully complete the American Heart Association online course (sold separately). For certification, the online course must be followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an AHA instructor. Online course completion certificate must be submitted and verified prior to hands-on skills session. Students will receive a BLS (Basic Life Support), Heartsaver® First Aid OR Heartsaver® CPR AED Course Completion card, valid for two years.

Heartsaver CPR AED
Heartsaver® CPR AED
AHA Heartsaver® courses reflects science and education from the 2020 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. This course can be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, including a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver® CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

Heartsaver CPR AED
Heartsaver® CPR AED
AHA Heartsaver® courses reflects science and education from the 2020 Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. Safe Sitter Ages 11-13
This nationally-recognized instructional program is medically accurate, hands-on, and teaches boys and girls how to handle emergencies such as injury management and choking rescue. Games, activities, and role play are included as well as infant CPR. There is a form that needs filled out and returned prior to class. You can pick one up at the Fishers YMCA or one can be emailed to you.
