Highlighting all of the Chronic Disease Prevention programming we offer here at Baxter
May:
Magnolia Springs will be presenting our May Lunch & Learn. They will be partnering with their therapy provider, Fox Rehab, to present “how to achieve a balanced daily routine for longevity of life.” They plan to discuss the importance of regular movement (aerobic, strength, balance), nutritious food, mental challenges (puzzles, hobbies), social connections, sufficient sleep, hydration, and stress management. They will also touch on consistent doctor visits to maintain physical and cognitive health, purpose, and independence
Lunch & Learn
Stakeholder Engagement
The Stakeholder Engagement Event is an opportunity for YMCA leadership and advisory board members to connect with local community leaders, small business owners, and partners. The event is designed to strengthen relationships, share updates on the YMCA’s impact and priorities, and introduce more community members to the work happening at the Y. Through conversation and networking, we also hope to identify individuals who may be interested in deeper involvement with the YMCA, including potential future board and volunteer leadership opportunities

Sunday Sensory Swim
Sunday Sensory Swim is designed for individuals and families who are seeking an alternative sensory experience. During this time we will modify the envoirnment to limit sound and light in order to create a less stressful and calming experience. We ask that all individuals and families choosing to attend register prior to attending.

Back to School Bash
The Community sponsored Back to School Bash is an event designed to provide services, resources and overall support to our Washington Township area families as they embark on a new school year. It is also a summer end celebration filled with food and fun for all ages to enjoy. At this event, your child can receive a dental screening, vision screening, sports physical, hygiene kits, essential clothing, books, participate in fun and games, and so much more!
- Only asterisked (*) items are mandatory for registration.
- Please register participating children.
- YMCA membership is not required; all are welcome
Fiesta de Regreso a Clases
La Fiesta de Regreso a Clases, patrocinada por la comunidad, ofrece servicios, recursos y apoyo a las familias del municipio de Washington para el nuevo año escolar. Además, es una celebración de fin de verano con comida y diversión para todas las edades. En este evento, su hijo/a podrá recibir: chequeo dental, examen de la vista, examen físico para deportes, kits de higiene, ropa esencial, libros, juegos y ¡mucho más!
