Hero Challenge - Memorial Day
The Memorial Day Hero Challenge is an opportunity for an individual or group to honor our fallen heroes by completing a Hero Workout that bears their name. Perhaps, the most famous Hero Workout is “Murph” named for LT. Michael Murphy. Our list of 12 available Hero Workouts can be modified for each skill and fitness level, so all are welcome to participate in this event. It does not matter if you choose to complete the workout as an individual or group, as our goal is to honor heroes who have given so much to keep us free.
The Memorial Day Hero Challenge is more than a test of physical ability. It bridges the gap between the body and mind, giving us the chance to do more than just remember our military members- it gives us the chance to sweat, suffer and grieve for our fallen heroes one rep at a time.
Any and all fitness levels. Scaling and modifications will be available

Cost includes t-shirt

Summer Health Challenge
Our Summer Health Challenge is an 8-week program that will run from Monday, June 3 through Saturday, July 27. This program has been created to help lead you towards a healthier lifestyle with proper guidance and education in areas such as: nutrition, hydration, sleep, and exercise. With the help of certified professionals, goals are well within reach!
This 8-week program is being offered to YMCA of Greater Indianapolis members at the one-time price of $150
- Program perks include:
- Pre-program intake & goal setting with center Wellness Director
- Specific group workout times offered per week with a Certified Personal Trainer
(must attend an average of 2 sessions/week for program completion credit) - Nutrition Sessions led by a Registered Dietician
- Sleep Sessions led by a Certified Sleep Coach
- Access to all of our Small Group Training workouts, for no additional cost
- Community building and team atmosphere
- Program completers will qualify for prizes
- Creating friendly competition among all YMCA of Greater Indianapolis locations
