Adult Education and Employment Training
The YMCA’s Project Connect program is an integrated education and training model designed to prepare adult learners for rewarding entry-level careers. Through guided practice and hands-on training, our students thrive in competitive job markets.
The YMCA offers an inclusive space for all learners to grow academically and professionally no matter what level they are on. Project Connect offers three unique components to participants: comprehensive employment training, career coaching, and job placement.
By addressing and removing the most common barriers for potential participants, the Y provides the opportunity for individuals to create a career pathway for themselves to provide a brighter future. ELL (English Language Learning) Class
The English Language Learners course is designed to help adult learners enhance their English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This course includes practical applications for workplace communication and civic engagement.

- Mandatory orientation: Jan 13, 14, 15, 5:30 – 7:30 pm;
- Classes are free.
- YMCA membership not required.
- Child care is available for ages 6 weeks to 10 years old

YES Program
YMCA’s YES Program is a free, 8-week job readiness program designed to equip out-of-school youth ages 16-24 the skills and knowledge needed to prepare for and enter the workforce, regardless of experience or education level. YES Program can also assist participants with any employment barriers, such as transportation assistance and finding housing resources, etc.

YMCA YES Program - CPT Certification Track
YMCA’s YES Program is a free, 8-week job readiness program designed to equip out-of-school youth ages 16-24 the skills and knowledge needed to prepare for and enter the workforce, regardless of experience or education level. This specific cohort will be providing a FREE occupational skills training and certification for Certified Pesonal Trainer (CPT). Interested applicants will be scheduled for an interview to ensure best fit for this cohort
