Friday Night Life
The OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA in partnership with The Light Squad Teen ministry of Light of the World Christian Church provides spiritual, mental, academic and social development for teenagers. The ministry provides a Teen Bible study, choral, dance ministries, sports activities, community service and other fun development activities for our teenagers in the community. Through our teen Bible studies and activities, we hope to provide our teenagers with relatable topics and discussions, that will help them to develop strong Christian values and strategies for success. Our ministry hopes to create strong friendships and family atmosphere for all teenagers in the body of Christ.

High School Financial Literacy & Fiscal Management
Build the money skills you’ll use for life! In partnership with Centra Credit Union, this free four-week workshop series helps high school students gain confidence managing their finances through practical, real-world lessons. Parents, guardians, and family members are encouraged to attend, making it a great opportunity to learn together.
Oct. 21 – Savings & Goal Setting: Build healthy savings habits, set financial goals, and understand emergency funds.
Oct. 28 – Smart Spending & Budgeting: Create a budget, distinguish needs from wants, and make informed spending decisions.
Nov. 4 – Credit Scores & Credit Management: Learn how credit works, what affects your score, and how to use credit responsibly.
Nov. 11 – College Savings & Student Loans: Explore options for paying for college or trade school, understand student loans, and plan for future education expenses.
No prior financial knowledge is needed—everyone is welcome!

Read for Joy Inc: Poetry Workshop Series
The Power of Poetry
Words have power. So do you!
Discover how poetry and hip hop have inspired generations, challenged injustice, and transformed communities. Over five weeks, teens will explore the work of influential poets and hip hop artists, learn creative writing techniques, and create original poems in a welcoming, supportive space. No experience is necessary. Just bring your ideas and your voice.
Dinner will be provided at each session.

Teen Night
A night just for teens to hang out, have fun, and make memories. We will have a mix of high energy activities and low key activities for everyone to enjoy.
Meal will be provided at 8pm. Pick up is at 8:30pm

Teen Strength Training Class
Empowering Indianapolis Youth
OrthoIndy YMCA is excited to offer Teen Strength Training Classes, designed to promote physical fitness, personal growth, and healthy competition among local youth.
This six-week class helps teens get comfortable in the wellness center, learn proper form and build strength in a supportive setting. It’s a great way to gain confidence, stay active and build healthy habits.

Teen Summer Basketball Intermural League - Co-ed
6 weeks of gameplay. Games will be held on Saturdays
- 5/6 grade (26-27 SY)
- 7/8 grade (26-27 SY)
Cost: $10 per player – players can sign up as a member of a team or as an individual
Week 1 (8/15) will be a clinic for all participants to prepare for the season. 8/22 will be the first week of games. Teams will wear their own uniforms/shirts. Individuals will be given pennies to wear before each game.
