Teen Night
Teen Night is a recurring event that happens on the 3rd Saturday of every month.
During this time, the facility is open to teen participants, ages 12-18, with the intention to provide YMCA teens a safe 3rd space, increasing teens’ sense of belonging in the Lawrence community. Teens have the options to participate in open gym basketball & enjoy workout sessions for the first hour of the event. For the second hour, teens engage into games and activities that develop social-emotional skills in efforts to build positive self-image and healthy relationships with peers. To conclude the night, a meal is provided as teens maximize on a chance to fellowship freely among their peers until their rides arrive.
There will be 4 enrichment teen nights held on the 4th Saturday once a quarter. These enrichment opportunities include various options to explore potential interests, hobbies and careers for our teens. The first upcoming enrichment teen night will be: Culinary Arts 3/22
