Library Pit Stop

The Jordan YMCA is partnering with the Nora Library! Through a series of 3 workshops, teens will learn how to tell the stories that matter to them. Each workshop will have a different theme, and will be taught by the Indianapolis Public Librarian, Beth Pintal.

April 23rd: Comics, Manga, & Graphic Novels
How do you use pictures and words to tell a story? Participants will gain an understanding of the art of using images to enchance their stories, and will leave the workshop with the start of their own comic or graphic novel.

May 21st: Rewrite the Ending
Have you ever finished a book or a movie and been upset with how it ended? In this workshop, participants will gain a greater understanding of developing a plot, and walk away able to create their own ending for their favorite stories.

June 18th: The Art of Games
Video games and roleplaying games like D&D are a different, and extremely popular type of storytelling, and this workshop will teach participates how to pursue a career in game design.
