AOA - Active Older Adult Programs
“AOA” stands for “Active Older Adults,” but don’t let the name fool you! These programs are open to anyone, and target adults of any age who may be just starting an exercise program, undergoing physical therapy, or want an adjusted workout to address any limited motion needs.

Platinum Prom
This event is designed to bring back nostalgia from years gone by for up to 200 of the Y’s Active Older Adult community, as well as seniors from across Hendricks County. For the evening, the Avon Pavilion in Washington Park will be transformed into a venue from the 1960s, reminiscent of high school and college dances from the period. The atmosphere in the room will be one of wonderful memories from days gone by.
Everything takes place in a warmly lit room where music of the day will be playing. There will be a Hors d’oeuvres buffet, with fun prizes to be won, items to be bid on, and everyone in attendance will receive a ‘SWAG Bag.’ A focal point of the event will be a 6’x6’ collection of photos from the fond memories of our very own members. The evening will be capped off with the crowning of the king and queen of the Platinum Prom.
As a sponsor you will have the unique opportunity to give back to the senior community in Hendricks County. Funds raised will help to underwrite senior programming.
