Snowplow Sam 1 (ages 4-6): The Snowplow Sam levels are introductory classes divided into levels allowing children with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the basic skills of skating.  These classes are designed to help children six and younger develop the ABCs of movement – Agility, Balance, Coordination and speed.  The ABCs are essential for developing fundamental movement skills and physical literacy.  All classes will be taught in a safe and positive environment, incorporating fun and games, making class time an enjoyable experience for all.
Basic 1 (ages 7-12): Basic 1 focuses on fundamental balance and movement, teaching skaters to sit and stand up, march forward, glide on two feet, dip, perform forward swizzles and backward wiggles, and execute a basic snowplow stop. The program is designed to build a strong foundation and confidence for new skaters, making it the first step in the progressive 8-level Basic Skills curriculum.
Snowplow Sam 2/3 (ages 4-6):  Snowplow Sam 2 teaches a march with a long glide, moving dips, backward walking and wiggles, initial snowplow stops, and forward swizzles. Snowplow Sam 3 introduces forward skating with strides, one-foot glides, and continues to build on the previous level’s skills.
Basic 2 (ages 7-12):  Introduces skaters to backward skating and turning skills after mastering forward skills in Basic 1. Key skills include performing scooter pushes, forward one-foot glides, a backward two-foot glide, the rocking horse (one forward and one backward swizzle), backward swizzles, two-foot turns from forward to backward, and a moving snowplow stop.
Learn to Play Hockey (6-12): Foundational program for ice hockey that focuses on teaching basic skating skills like the hockey stance, stride, and knee bend, without the use of a puck in the early stages. Skaters progress through badge levels, building proficiency and agility on the ice before moving on to more specific hockey skills and eventual puck handling in later programs.
Basic 3/4 (ages 7-12):  Skaters learn to demonstrate controlled forward stroking with proper blade use, forward half swizzles in a circle, moving forward-to-backward two-foot turns, and backward one-foot glides as well as including forward inside and outside edges on a circle, forward crossovers in a circle, backward half swizzle pumps, and a two-foot spin, building on the skills from previous levels.
