Diabetes Prevention Program: The Diabetes Prevention Program helps people with prediabetes reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by up to 58% through healthier eating, increased physical activity, and modest weight loss. Participants attend 16 weekly sessions led by a trained lifestyle coach, followed by bi-weekly and monthly support meetings for 8 additional months to maintain progress. The program focuses on achieving a 7% weight loss and 150 minutes of weekly activity for adults who are at risk for diabetes.

This program is a nationally recognized, community-based program designed to help adults with arthritis or limited mobility stay active and independent. Through low-impact exercises, participants improve flexibility, reduce joint stiffness, relieve stress, and lower their risk of falls. Classes are one hour, three times a week, and can be done seated or standing under a certified instructor’s guidance.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free 12-week program that helps adults affected by cancer rebuild strength, fitness, and confidence through twice-weekly exercise sessions and wellness education. It focuses on the whole person; supporting physical health, stress management, and long-term healthy habits. The program also fosters a supportive community where participants can connect, share experiences, and encourage one another.
